Motorcycles, by their very design, do not offer the same protection as a
car that has four wheels and enclosure all around them. Your legs and arms
are exposed to many hard objects like the road, metal, glass etc when
operating a two wheeled motorcycle. How many riding motorcycles foolishly
wear no protective clothing and so experience road rash, severe cuts etc?
Here's some pointers: 1. Never take your eyes off the road in front of
you if possible. In a split second of distraction you may cost yourself or
somebody else a precious life. 2. Don't travel faster than is safe
considering the road and weather conditions (wind, water puddles, ice,
rain, potholes, rail road tracks, etc) 3. Be sober and alert (avoid
alcohol prior to traveling) 4. Never get behind a wheel when angry. You
may use your vehicle as a weapon of revenge against others without
realizing it and so cause injury or death to your neighbor.
